This controller is a great option for use with Common 48V & 52V “Shark” and “Dolphin” style batteries, as the current draw is limited to about 30A, which won’t stress these batteries nearly as much as our higher powered 12FET controllers.
We developed this 6 MOSFET controller to be small and stealthy, yet remarkably potent. Based on the popular Infineon board design, this controller is user-programmable with a windows PC. We use 100V capacitors, in tandem with the popular irfb3077 MOSFETs, which allow this controller to operate at slightly higher voltages than other controllers of similar design. We rate this controller as 20A continuous / 30A Max Current, and it can accept voltages as high as 75V Maximum, though we strongly recommend using these with 60V (16S) batteries and lower, so as to leave some voltage headroom for useful regenerative braking.
A Cycle Analyst 6-pin connector, 5-pin programming header, and CA-V3 compatible connectors for throttle and ebrake inputs, are standard. The Phase wires are 2.5mm2 (About 13 AWG) and have gold-plated 4mm HTX connectors (Female). The battery wires are also 2.5mm2 and terminated with an XT90 connector. All mating connectors are included, including an Anti-Spark XT90 connector. Other features of this controller include copper bar “beefed” traces, regenerative braking (Direct Drive hub motors only), cruise control, and Flux Weakening with up to 30% overspeed of normal motor RPM. Other sellers will usually charge you extra for these features. Don’t get suckered!
